Sustainability

HOW ARE WE SUSTAINABLE?

The whole design process is transparent.

The journey of the fabric into the final garment is described so you are able to see who made your clothes and where your item began its life.

Fabric and materials

The fabric choices through to the packaging, shipping and delivery, are chosen thoughtfully to reduce waste with care and intention.

Selecting and re-purposing dead-stock fabrics, which are the end of rolls and fabric left as surplus, are ideal to ensure no resources are wasted.  This ensures that less fabric ends up in landfill.

This also means small collections with a limited number of pieces can be made in a unique fabric or print, unable to be repeated, therefore adding to the exclusivity of the garment.

By cutting down on shipping costs, the design process has been carefully considered to ship garments only once. Once the design and final samples are complete in the UK, each fabric is selected from Bangkok and then sent to Thailand to be created into the relevant pieces.

Once the total production is complete per style, these are then shipped to the UK where the photography, marketing and distribution takes place.

We proudly use no plastic packaging in our shipping and deliveries.

How we can help the industry?

We are conscious about creating slow fashion that can be worn time and time again, whether that be off-trend pieces or pieces that create a new trend. The garments design, fabric selection and production technique shows that each piece will last for years.

Each piece is able to be styled many different ways and worn from day to night from the beach into the evening.

We use 100% linens and cottons which are natural and eco-friendly, also digital-print recycled polyesters are sourced from dead-stock fabrics.

Working with locals in Thailand benefits the community by receiving fair wages. I would like to highlight the expertise from the local seamstress who produce AmberRoux’s designs.  The true craftmanship is in the garments pattern design and sewing.
